Our 2025 Q3 and 4 Travels

I have been getting some negative feedback that there has not bee a lot of travel porn on here lately. Well fear not as Matt and I have a busy 6 months of travel ahead of us. Without further adieu, here are our travels for the rest of 2025.

The Comfort Zone Trip: Italy and Austria

Our first vacation will be our annual trip to Italy. However instead of our usual Tuscan experience, we will be landing in Venice, then making our way up to the Dolomites and finishing off in Vienna, Austria.

Why is this our comfort zone trip? We travel to Italy frequently and we are staying at luxury 5-star hotels. All 3 are considered the crème de la crème in their respected cities/villages. This is a once we land in Venice everything will be taken care of kind of trip. We will just relax and have excellent food.

Adler Thermae, Tuscany

Trip Goal: Do, see and socialize minimally. Eat and spa frequently.

The Family Trip: Calgary

Towards the end of July we will be venturing to Calgary where it is even colder than Maine.

Why it a family trip?: Because Matt is from there and we are visiting our family and celebrating our sister’s special wedding day!

Trip Goal: Edo Japan (IYKYK)

Out of Our Comfort Zone: Gay Yoga Retreat

We are returning to our favorite male-only inn, Frog Meadow Farm for a long weekend yoga retreat.

Why is this out of our comfort zone? We don’t do a lot of yoga and will be at an all male gay inn…use your imagination.

Trip Goal: Relax at our favorite inn which is owned by a lovely couple. Short weekend getaway into Vermont….maybe a little house hunting? As I get older I would like to work on my flexibility hence the yoga.

Wild and Most Expensive Trip-South Africa and Victoria Falls

So far Madeira is the closest we have been to Africa

Matt and I will be traveling around South Africa, going on a safari, and exploring Victoria Falls.

Why is it our expensive trip: Google the average cost per night of a good safari in Africa….Somehow an amazing mile redemption turned into our most expensive trip.

Trip Goal: Enjoy our once in a lifetime experience

Our Favorite and Most Exciting Trip: Visiting the Boy-Southern France

Matt and I will be spending Christmas in Southern France.

Why is it our Favorite and Most Exciting Trip: We get to see the Boy!!!!! He is still here as I write this and we already miss him ☹. We are thrilled to meet his wonderful family too!
