96 Hours in Paris: An Itinerary

I recently wrote a similar post about Barcelona and it was very popular so I thought I would do it again, but this time with Paris.  Please note my perfect days may be different than yours as I like to balance activity with relaxation.

Day 1, Arrive and Get Settled

After a very long flight across the pond (ideally in business class or if you are really special, La Premier) arrive late morning at your hotel where your room will likely be ready because you booked through me. Have a nice shower and a coffee.

12-5pm Next, go for a stroll around Le Marais where your hotel is located. Le Marais is the Gay and Jewish neighborhood and also home to some of the best restaurants and shops in the city. Because it is a little further from the touristy spots, it is usually less crowded too. Find a local Brasserie for lunch. If you have the energy, make your way to the river where you should have a great view of Notre Dame from where you are. Of course, if you have the energy just follow the river west and you will walk by the Louvre and see the Eiffel.

Le Marais

5-7pm Relax in your upgraded room before dinner tonight somewhere local as you are about to hit your wall.

7pm-10pm Dinner and a quick evening stroll around Le Marais

Day 2 Paris in a Day

7-9am Start your day by having breakfast at your 5-star hotel, included in your rate. Uber to the Eiffel Tower and purchase skip the line tickets in advanced.

9-11am. Eiffel Tower

11am-1pm Walk from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triumph, then make your way down the Champs-Élysées Take a break for lunch. Ask your hotel in advance where in the Champs-Élysées area.

1-4pm Walk your way back to the Marais. On your way stroll pass the Opera, Louvre and please stop at E. DEHILLERIN, Ina Garden’s favorite cooking store. Please pick up large wooden spoons for Matt. This is the day for window shopping, try the pastries, chocolate, etc.

4:30-7pm. Relax back at your hotel. Enjoy a beautiful bath in your suite. Fondue tonight at  http://painvinfromages.com/ ask for a basement table.

Day 3 Louvre and Pick an Activity

7-9am Start your day having breakfast at your 5-star hotel, included in your rate. Walk to the Louvre and have your advanced ticket pre-purchased. Say hi to Lisa for me.

9:30-Noon Enjoy the Louvre. You could spend a month here.

Afternoon: Choose an Activity, some of my favorites include

  • Phil Arty Photography
    • Phil is such a nice guy and has so much talent. Get those professional photos of you and your partner with beautiful Paris backdrops. Tell Phil I sent you and he will take good care of you.
  • Cooking Class
    • Learn how to make a French pastry or a full French dinner. The choices are yours
  • Food Tour

Or you could always work with your hotel and find a wonderful spa. Relaxing on a vacay is not the worst thing.

Dinner tonight will be a little touristy but it is so much fun. Enjoy and evening dinner cruise along the Seine

Dinner cruise

Day 4: Let’s Get Outside of Paris

Since this is your last full day, I would not go far, but Versailles is just down the road. Take an early tour of the palace and stay for lunch before making your way back to Paris. Your hotel will help arrange the logistics for this.

Dinner tonight is Souffle at Le Souffle

You just finished 4 days in Paris! While 4 days is not enough it is a great start! Let me know when you are ready to book!

Bon Voyage,

Andrew
