I have noticed a trend over the last few years. Matt and I have been traveling less and less, but we are spending more and more on our adventures overseas. It has definitely become the quality vs quantity mindset for us. As we get older, we have less interest in leaving our babies, shlepping as frequently or sleeping in lackluster accommodations. There also seems to be a pattern of balancing action with relaxation on most of our trips.

Then there is always the paradox of, Why leave Maine when you don’t have to? Below I present to you our year of travel with links to their corresponding blog posts.
London and Tuscany-May 2024
In May we traveled across the Atlantic to London and Tuscany. It was the perfect combination of urban adventures with 5 days at a spa in the middle of nowhere to recover. In London we explored the sites, had afternoon tea and saw Moulin Rouge.

In Tuscany we spent our days in meditation classes, spa treatments and afternoon walks in the Tuscan hills.

Brattleboro, Vermont-June 2024
In June Matt and I drove down the road to Vermont to visit the all-male Frog Meadow Farm. It was a wonderful retreat nestled in the mountains. We brought books, walked across New England picturesque towns and enjoyed some down time.

Newark!-August 2024
We spent one night at the Marriott Newark airport to pick up Marius. By far, our most important vacation of the year. 🥰

Boston- October 2024
We took Marius on a road trip to Boston to check out the city, walk the freedom trail, take a campus tour of Harvard and watch the Patriots lose!
