Location and Review Context
The Adler Alpe is a 5-star luxury hotel and spa situated 1800 meters above sea-level located across the Alpe Di Siusi with views of the Dolomites. The hotel itself is within a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The hotel advertises itself as a hideaway all-inclusive experience that offers peace and quiet. Guests have the opportunity to relax, enjoy the spa and be able to hike the slopes of the mountains right from their rooms.
Does the hotel deliver on all of this? (Hint: Yes!)

Booking
We are long-time Adler customers. We have stayed at their Tuscany location and have used the spa there many times. We even have their branded skincare products shipped to us which will soon be more expensive thanks to Chito’s tariffs.
The location in the Dolomites has always been on our radar. The Adler brand consists of a few small spa hotels across Italy. They do not have a rewards system so this one we booked directly with cash. It is not cheap, but all meals and drinks are included and this is not some trashy all-inclusive in the Caribbean. We are talking fine Italian cuisine and wines.
Check-In/Chalet
The hotel arranged a private taxi to take us from Venice to the property. It is a beautiful 3-hour drive into the mountains. When we arrived, a staff member took our bags and we were escorted to the lobby.

The receptionist checked us in quickly then gave us a tour of the lodge, spa and escorted us to our chalet. The property has 20 traditional rooms in the main building and several individual chalets. The chalets each had two floors, a wood burning fire place and a sauna. It was certainly work the upgrade if you could swing it.
As two introverts, Matt and I spent a lot of time in our chalet. Matt served as our fire maestro, Andrew enjoyed naked sauna time and both enjoyed private views not sharing walls with other people.

Food
The food at the Alder Alpe is all included. Breakfast consists of a large buffet with breads, Italian meats and yogurts. You were also welcome to order eggs, pancakes and all sorts of hot goodies off the menu.

Lunch consisted of a buffet of more Italian breads, meats and a few hot options like pasta and meats.
Dinner was a formal affair with 5 courses. The food itself was excellent and unique. Because we were situated on the Italian/Austrian border the food had a blend in flavors. Think German dumplings filled with Italian ingredients.

Spa
Adler hotels share something in common. Many hotels have spas but few have spas built within the hotel. All Adlers have massive spas, natural pools and all sorts of steam rooms. This isn’t a take an elevator to level 3 for the 2 treatment room spa hotel. This is a hotel where literally the uniform people wear around building are their spa robes.

We had several massages and facials and they were all perfect.
Activities
As for activities there was plenty to do including nothing. Matt was more than happy to sit by the fire in our chalet with a book and make his way to the outdoor pool. The Adler keeps the water very warm so even though we are high in the mountains, the pool is always perfect.

I leveraged the free electric bikes and made my way around the dolomites. It was such a peaceful and relaxing activity. There were also a series of wellness classes including Yoga, Soundbaths and sauna rituals that were all included. Several organized hikes and bike rides were also offered daily that were included in the room price. You will not be bored here!

Overall
We love Adler hotels and this location delivered. We never felt more relaxed and at peace in our life. *****/5
